One major way we block blessings is through unforgiveness. Holding onto grudges poisons the heart and closes it to the peace and favor God wants to pour in. Forgiveness isn’t about letting someone off the hook; it’s about freeing yourself from bitterness.
Another is negative thinking and self-doubt. Constantly believing you’re not good enough, smart enough, or worthy enough creates a mindset of lack. This mindset repels growth and keeps you from stepping into opportunities meant for you.
Disobedience is also a common block. When you knowingly go against what you know is right—ignoring your conscience or God’s guidance—you create distance between yourself and the blessings aligned with obedience.
Additionally, jealousy and comparison steal joy and gratitude. When you’re too focused on someone else’s journey, you miss what’s blooming in your own life.
Finally, lack of gratitude can blind you to the blessings you already have. When you fail to appreciate the small things, you limit your capacity to receive more.
Check your heart, adjust your mindset, and allow God’s blessings to flow freely.
