BREAKING: Police Arrest 2 Cattle Rustlers, Recover 273 Cows Near Kaduna-Niger Border

The Kaduna state Police command has arrested two suspected cattle rustlers and recovered 273 cows believed to belong to notorious bandit leaders operating in parts of Southern Kaduna.
The arrest followed a joint operation by police operatives, the military and local vigilantes who acted on credible intelligence that the rustled cattle, taken from Kauru, Kaura, and Kachia local government areas, were being moved through the eastern axis of Akilibu and Rijana forest.
The suspects, identified as Tanimu Ibrahim and Bello Musa, were intercepted on May 11, 2025, at Ishau area in Faikoro local government area of Niger state.
Spokesman of the Kaduna state Police command, DSP Mansir Hassan, said in a statement that the officer-in-charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, CSP Sani Zuntu, led the operation that resulted in the interception and arrest.
