BREAKING: ‘Supreme Court Judgment’ Reception indicates people have embrace peace unity – Sule

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has said that the reception accorded him by the people of the state after the Supreme Court victory, is an indication that the people have embrace peace and unity.

A statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Addra, and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Friday, thanked the good people of the state for their out pour of love and support as “We remain focused on the work ahead of us.

“It has been close to two weeks since the Supreme Court verdict that reaffirmed the people’s choice of Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule as governor of Nasarawa state till 2027.

“Expectedly, the ruling of the Apex Court has been received with a lot of joy and relief across the country but especially from the good people of Nasarawa state and our supporters in the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“The overwhelming reception accorded Engr. Sule all the way from Abuja to Lafia; the peaceful nature of the processions and maturity exhibited are credit to the growth of democracy and our resolve to live together for the good of all. “

He added that the phone calls from well-meaning and highly placed individuals from across the globe was heart-warming and will not taken for granted.

“His Excellency views the victory as one for the people of the state, for democracy and as a challenge to do more. It is worthy of note and appreciation, the contributions of all our leaders, stakeholders, friends, family and supporters toward ensuring that the people’s mandate is safely protected.

“Since, the judgement, the Government House has received many individuals, groups and communities who visited to show solidarity. Others have sent messages of congratulations and good will.

“We recognise that many more have indicated interest and are willing to come and show solidarity and to praise governor Sule for his maturity and sense of leadership in the face of harassment and provocation while the litigation lasted.
