Confused Americans are just realizing Joe Biden is not even on the ballot in New Hampshire after Democratic party chaos

GRANITE state voters may be surprised when they head to the voting booth on Tuesday and find President Joe Biden’s name missing.

Democrats and Republicans in New Hampshire will be selecting their nominee for the 2024 Presidential Election this week, but one important name will not be featured on the ballot. Unlike his two challengers, Biden and his campaign decided against filing for New Hampshire’s primary election.

The decision stemmed from the state’s refusal to move its primary to a later date.

For decades, New Hampshire has held the coveted “first-in-the-nation” primary slot, typically coming shortly after the Iowa caucuses.

Last year, the Democratic

National Committee ditched tradition and made South Carolina the first nominating state.

However, leaders in the Live Free or Die state refused to back down, complying with state law, and decided to keep the late January primary date.

“We’re going first whether they like it or not,” Republican Gov. Chris Sununu said in March, 2023.

“I dare you — come and take it.”

Ultimately, Biden backed the DNC’s decision and will first appear on the ballot in South Carolina on February 3.

While the president will be absent from Tuesday’s ballot, his supports still strongly believe the incumbent will come out on top.

As of Monday, Biden held a massive 62.7 percent of support as a write-in candidate in the state, according to RealClearPolitics.

Minnesota Representative Dean Phillips held approximately 10.7 percent of support, while fellow Democratic hopeful Marianne Williamson held only 5.3 percent.

For weeks, allies of Biden have been urging New Hampshirites to still cast their vote for the president, by writing in his name.

Kathleen Sullivan, a former chairwoman of the Democratic Party in New Hampshire and leader of Biden’s write-in super PAC, told the New York Times, there is a “lot going on” in the state to support the president.

“We’ve been able to build some energy and excitement and support for him that we’re not seeing anywhere else in the country,” she said.

Meanwhile, New Hampshire Rep. Ann McLane Kuster told the outlet that if Biden still comes out on top through the write-in, it could send a message to his challengers.

“Imagine if we hadn’t done the write-in and nobody voted,” Kuster said.

“Then the story would have been, oh, Donald Trump is in, but we don’t know who it’s going to be on our side.”
Phillips has previously blasted Biden for his decision not to file in the state.

He exclusively told The U.S. Sun that the move tells voters, “This is an election about me, not about you.”
Phillips went on to call the decision the “intentional suppression and disenfranchisement” of Democratic voters in New Hampshire.

“[It] is tragic and hypocritical and dangerous, period,” he said.

Williamson has also criticized the move, calling Biden’s campaign “self-indulgent” and “performative,” according to The Guardian.

While Biden still appears to be ahead, the results from Tuesday’s primary remains to be seen.

On Monday, the New Hampshire attorney general’s office revealed it was investigating a robocall impersonating Biden’s voice telling people not to vote during the primary.

Instead, the fraudulent call urges recipients to “save” their vote for November, according to NBC News.

“Although the voice in the robocall sounds like the voice of President Biden, this message appears to be artificially generated based on initial indications,” the office said.

“These messages appear to be an unlawful attempt to disrupt the New Hampshire Presidential Primary Election and to suppress New Hampshire voters. New Hampshire voters should disregard the content of this message entirely.”

It was not immediately clear how many voters received the call or if it will impact Tuesday’s turnout.
