Many actors from Nigeria and the Diaspora attended the event, which took place amidst pomp and pageantry. Part of the highlights was the workshop centred on skill development and how to win roles in international production which was taken by a renowned resource person recommended by US Consulate in Nigeria, Adrienne Weiss of Film Indepent.
Senator Ben Bruce, a former senator of the Federal Government of Nigeria led the awardees and also clinched the Industry Pillars Award. Joke Silva, Ego Boyo, Charles Inojie, Kanoyo O. Kanayo, Destiny Etiko and others won different award categories at the event.
Emeka Rollas thanks actors for the success of the festival
Emeka Rollas, who was the first elected guild president in 2012, was grateful that the event was a huge success. He noted that the event was successful as many practitioners attended despite the distance.
The guild also unveiled the first edition of its all-gloss magazine known as On-Screen, which was well received by those in attendance.

According to a previous report by TheTalk.NG, Rollas had stated that the guild is non-partisan and that any of its members was free to campaign for any Nigerian interested in going for a political office.
He noted that regardless of the person its members support or campaign for, they remain one in the guild.
He encouraged all actors not to sit on the fence when choosing credible leaders for the nation.

Legit. ng had earlier reported that the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria had stated that no moviemaker must work while preparing for the burial of one of its own, Sam Odigbo.
Odiagbo passed on in December 2021, and he was buried in 2022. Rollas ensured the guild prepared for the final rites of the actor.
He also encouraged the members of this association to aattend the final rites of the late actor.
