According to The Nigerian Tribune, it was reported that Prof. Ishaq Akintola, who happens to be the Executive Director of MURIC, stated this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Prof. Ishap Akintola, called on Muslims in the country to work for the progress of the country, and to shun all acts of economic sabotage.

While he was talking, he said that this is exactly what is expected of good Muslims in the country, as Ramadan is approaching. He said good Muslims have no other choice than to do what is right. And they cannot, and should not join the spoilers in the country.

Further talking, he said, “They can’t, and should not join violent demonstrators. The Tinubu-Shettima administration was put in place by a majority Muslim votes on February 25, 2023. Therefore Muslims can’t, and shouldn’t be the ones that will bring it down.”

Akintola added that Muslims should not be among those who would sabotage the economy, and that the good Muslim majority alone can build a good Nigeria.
