Suspect reveals alleged accomplices in Terry’s murder, police launch manhunt

The suspect, whose identity is being withheld, disclosed the involvement of Eghosa and another individual called Innocent at the crime scene. He said he is a close friend of Eghosa.

During the interrogation, he revealed that the names of two alleged accomplices, as Eghosa and Innocent, both of whom have left the country and gone to Libya.

Additionally, he said Eghosa initially expressed sympathy for Innocent who is much younger than him, upon discovering that the latter was wanted in their village, Umogun Nokhua, in the Orhionmwon local government area.

According to the account, Eghosa learnt that Innocent fled the village to evade a forced initiation as the Chief Priest of his late grandfather’s ancestral shrine known as “Elimhindun.”

He admitted that both Eghosa and Innocent cohabited for a period and confirmed that the three of them were together at Terry’s house on that fateful night.

He explained that it was Innocent who they asked to enter the house and call out Terry, while he and Eghosa waited outside.

Based on this confession, the police say they have now launched a manhunt for two additional suspects namely Eghosa and Innocent, as they are considered persons of interest in relation to Terry’s murder.

The Police believe that both Eghosa and Innocent’s testimony could provide crucial information and shed light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
