5 Dangerous Church Red Flags Every Christian Should Know

Being part of a faith community should bring spiritual growth, love, support, and truth. However, not all churches foster healthy environments. Here are five signs you might be part of an unhealthy church:....CONTINUE READING THE FULL STORIES HERE

1. Leadership is controlling or manipulative – If your pastor or leaders discourage questions, punish disagreement, or expect blind loyalty, that’s a red flag. Spiritual leaders should guide with humility, not fear.

2. Toxic judgment and shame – Instead of offering grace and compassion, some churches harshly judge members for their struggles or differences. If you’re constantly made to feel unworthy or guilty, that isn’t love — it’s spiritual abuse.

3. Lack of accountability – When leaders behave unethically, but no one challenges or corrects them, it creates a culture of corruption. Healthy churches hold everyone, including leaders, accountable to moral and biblical standards.

4. Gospel twisted for personal gain – If the focus is always on money, blessings, or glorifying the pastor, the message may be distorted. A true church centers on Christ and servanthood — not wealth or ego.

5. No real community or love – If people attend but don’t genuinely care for each other, or if cliques dominate and others feel isolated, it shows the absence of true fellowship.

A healthy church should uplift, challenge, and help you grow in love and truth not manipulate or trap you.

Favor As Higher Power?

(The hidden truth)

Some positions in life cannot be held or retained for long if you are not favored. Favor is higher power. You are not the only one desiring, deserving, connected, powerful or qualified. Some positions in life, opportunities, success, achievements, triumphs, selection, approvals, power and position, elevation, patronage, etc, are mainly through favor. Favor is silent, spiritual and higher power. For spiritual guidance, other solutions, call/Whatsapp Dr J.A. Faros on 07030514063. With God, all are possible.
