One of the most painful is infidelity. Cheating breaks the core bond of trust between partners. It’s not just about physical betrayal but emotional as well knowing your partner turned to someone else for intimacy or comfort can deeply wound the heart. While some couples do recover with counseling and effort, many find it hard to rebuild that lost trust.
Another is domestic abuse, whether physical, emotional, or psychological. Any form of violence in a marriage is unacceptable. Love should never hurt no one deserves to be intimidated, beaten, or mentally broken in a relationship. Abuse often escalates, and staying in such situations can be life-threatening.
Neglect and consistent disrespect are also toxic. When one partner is constantly dismissed, belittled, or ignored, it leads to emotional starvation. Without love, appreciation, or communication, the marriage slowly dies.
