Second, pillows and memory foam items often absorb too much water and may not dry properly, leading to mold. Similarly, leather jackets and suede items can lose texture or crack in the wash.
Third, shoes with glue or leather parts can fall apart or lose their shape. Hats, especially those with bills, can bend or warp. Also, items with pet hair might clog the machine filter, making it work less efficiently.
Lastly, avoid washing heavy rugs, backpacks with metal parts, or anything labeled ‘dry clean only’.
