Drinking water before a meal can actually be beneficial. Taking a glass of water about 30 minutes before eating helps prepare your stomach for digestion.

Now, what about drinking water during or right after meals? Contrary to some myths, sipping small amounts of water while eating isn’t harmful it helps break down food, makes swallowing easier, and assists in nutrient absorption.
