Ulcers are painful and, if left untreated, can cause irreversible damage. The great majority of stomach ulcers are caused by a bacterium called Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). H. pylori is a type of bacteria that, once it has entered the body, weakens the protective lining of the stomach, thereby increasing the stomach’s susceptibility to acid burns.

On the other hand, it is not recommended that those who have stomach ulcers adhere to any particular diet. Yet, eating certain foods may assist in the healing of your stomach ulcer as well as the underlying cause of it.

According to healthline.com’s recommendations, the following are the two beverages that are best suited to treat stomach ulcers.

First, yogurt.

Consuming yogurt, which is abundant in healthy bacteria known as probiotics, can increase mucus production and, as a result, protect the lining of the stomach, according to a number of scientific studies. According to Healthline’s reporting, researchers have discovered that certain chemicals can aid in the healing of ulcers by encouraging the creation of new blood vessels.

Yogurt should be consumed on a daily basis by ulcer sufferers. In addition to containing microorganisms that have the potential to aid in the prevention of ulcers, this product also has the potential to enhance the effectiveness of treatments. It is recommended to eat it with unsweetened yogurt rather than variants that contain added sugar.

2. Juice made from cabbage

Cabbage juice is a liquid that is extracted from cabbage, as one may infer from the name. It is one of the most effective antibiotics for reducing the discomfort associated with ulcers. Consuming cabbage juice on a regular basis can help reduce the number of times you suffer from stomach ulcers. This is due to the fact that vitamin C plays a role in both the prevention and treatment of H. pylori bacteria.

According to Healthline, the initial human research that looked at the effectiveness of treating stomach ulcers with fresh cabbage juice found that the treatment was superior. Raw cabbage juice has been shown to be effective in the treatment of stomach ulcers, specifically due to its capacity to strengthen and repair the stomach lining. This ability has been demonstrated in a number of scientific studies.
