What Happens If You Leave Garlic in Your Toilet Overnight?

Garlic is known for its strong antibacterial and antifungal properties, which can be useful not only for health but also for cleaning purposes. Many people are now using garlic as a natural cleaner for their toilets because of its ability to kill harmful germs and remove bad odours.

The trick is simple. Before going to bed, peel one clove of garlic and drop it into the toilet bowl. Let it sit overnight without flushing. During the night, the garlic will act on stains, germs, and odour-causing bacteria. When you flush in the morning, you’ll notice the bowl looks cleaner and smells much better.

For better results, some people crush the garlic slightly before dropping it in to release more of its active ingredients. You can repeat this method two or three times a week to maintain a clean and odor-fodour-freet.

Using garlic as a cleaning agent is safe, eco-friendly, and affordable. It reduces the need for chemical cleaners that may damage plumbing or harm the environment. While it may sound unusual, this simple home remedy has proven to be surprisingly effective in keeping your toilet fresh and hygienic naturally.
